The process for me starts with taking a photograph of some scene that catches my eye, usually because of the light, colors, lines and/or shadows.  I then start the laborious process of doing a color drawing of the photograph, tracing my drawing to create the line plate, etching the lines, and transferring the image to three additional plates, which, when printed, will mix to form all the tones and colors of the image.  My works are a true labor of love: for the process, the community of friends that surround me while I am working, and the images I spend so much time with before they make it to the page.
